For metal that's too far gone to sand and too expensive to replace. Brush it straight onto the rust and it turns the rust itself into a stable film you can paint. Water based, plant based, odorless. A quart is $19.

- Fire escapes and railings that see winter salt
- Gates, fences and security bars
- Structural steel, rebar and pipe
- Anything where sandblasting isn't happening
Watch the color change
The surface turns dark blue as the rust converts, in about 2 hours at room temperature. It penetrates rust 2 to 12 mils deep.
Plan the application
About 340 to 500 sq ft per gallon. Apply between 41F and 95F.
What goes on top
Once it dries, prime and paint within 1 to 2 days, and keep it out of the rain until then. For the paint, use our PRO. It's made for properly prepared metal, inside and out.
Use it on metal that's still structurally sound.
