For a unit turnover, pick one white, buy it by the 5 gallon bucket, and use a flat for ceilings and Satin or Semi-Gloss for kitchens, baths and trim. Kompozit paint dries to the touch in about an hour and takes a second coat after 2 to 4 hours, so two coats fit in one working day.
Which paint where
Ceilings and bedroom walls: EKO. It's a flat, zero VOC interior paint at $165 for 5 gallons.
Kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and doors: PRO in Satin or Semi-Gloss. It's paint and primer in one, $285 for 5 gallons, and it comes in four sheens.
New drywall, patches and bare plaster: PRIME first, $179 for 5 gallons. EKO doesn't include a primer, PRO does.
Keep one color in every unit
One white across the building means the super touches up scuffs without a color match. EKO comes in white and light colors. PRO tints to any color from any brand's fan deck.
How much to order
Measure walls and ceilings separately. For walls, multiply the room's perimeter by ceiling height and subtract doors and windows. A gallon covers 300 to 400 square feet per coat. Two coats double the order.
Delivery
We deliver across New York and New Jersey for $15 an order, free over $150. Buckets ride on our own truck, curb or ground floor entrance. Custom colors ordered before 2pm on a business day are normally mixed that day.
Questions we get
Can I skip primer?
On painted walls in good shape, yes. On new drywall or bare plaster, prime with PRIME, or use PRO, which primes itself.
What's the difference between EKO and PRO?
EKO is interior only, flat, zero VOC and paint only. PRO is interior and exterior, comes in four sheens and includes primer.
