The surface turns dark blue as the rust converts, about two hours at room temperature. Until the topcoat is on, keep rain and hose water off it. Penetrates rust 2 to 12 mils deep. Covers 87 to 130 square feet per pound, and deep rust eats the high end. Works between 41F and 95F, best around 60F.
